Aluminium Partition Doors in Ranchi - Framed Divisions for Offices and Homes

Not every internal division needs to be a full wall. An aluminium-framed partition door lets you close off a home office, a store room, or a cabin inside a larger office floor, while keeping the option to open the space back up whenever you need to. This is a different product from the fabric-panel or plywood partitions used for temporary event dividers - it's a permanent, lockable, framed door built into a fixed aluminium partition wall.

Cabin doors, meeting room entries, and reception dividers all use the same aluminium partition door frame system, sized to match whatever glass or laminate partition wall it sits within. High-traffic office doors get heavier-duty door closers and floor springs rated for hundreds of open-close cycles a day.

At home, a partition door is most often used to close off a study or pooja room from an open living area, or to divide a large hall into two usable rooms without the cost and permanence of a masonry wall. Frames can be finished to match your interior colour scheme rather than left in raw metal tone.

Clear glass keeps the space feeling open and lets light pass through to an interior room with no window. Frosted or fluted glass gives privacy while still admitting daylight. Laminated or MDF-filled panels are used where full visual privacy is needed, such as a store room or server cabin.

How This Differs From Other Partition Systems

Fabric-covered or wood-and-plywood partitions are usually built for flexibility - they can be moved, reconfigured, or are meant to be temporary. An aluminium partition door is the opposite: it's a permanent fixture with a proper door frame, hinges or a floor spring, and a lock, built into a wall that itself may be glass, laminate-faced ply, or a mix. If you need to reconfigure a space every few months, a modular partition system is the better fit. If you need a wall-with-a-door that will stay exactly where it is for years and needs to actually lock and seal like a real door, aluminium framing is what you want, and that's the product we build.

Frame Profiles and Panel Fill

The door leaf itself is built the same way as our other framed aluminium doors - an extruded stile-and-rail frame around a glazed or panel-filled centre - but the surrounding partition it's set into is usually a lighter-gauge mullion-and-transom grid, since a partition wall doesn't carry structural load the way an exterior wall does. We size the door frame's hinge-side mullion slightly heavier than the rest of the grid, because that's the section carrying all the repeated stress of the door swinging open and shut.

Hardware for High-Cycle Use

Office cabin doors that get opened dozens of times a day need different hardware from a home study door opened twice daily. For high-traffic doors we typically fit a hydraulic door closer so the door swings shut on its own without slamming, plus a lock cylinder rated for frequent use. For home partition doors, a simple mortise lock and a standard closer or none at all, depending on whether you want it to self-close.

Installation Process

We survey the space to plan the mullion grid layout around your door position, fabricate the partition frame and door leaf together so they're dimensionally matched, and install the full partition wall with the door hung last. Glazing or panel infill is fitted after the frame is plumbed and squared, and the door swing and lock are tested before we consider the job complete.

Why Kushal Kraft for Partition Doors

We build the partition wall and its door as one coordinated system rather than fitting a stock door into a partition made by someone else, which is where sizing mismatches and uneven gaps usually come from. Our team also handles the office and home fit-out conversation directly - if you're not sure whether you need a full partition or just a door-height screen, we'll walk through it with you on site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Fabric and modular partitions are usually designed to be moved or reconfigured. An aluminium partition door is a permanent, framed installation with a real lock and hinge or floor-spring set, meant to stay put for years.

Yes, we build the door frame and surrounding mullion grid together so the door blends into a glass-fronted partition rather than looking like a separate add-on.

For high-traffic office cabin doors, yes - a hydraulic closer stops the door from being left open or slammed shut. Home partition doors can go without one if you prefer.

Clear glass, frosted or fluted glass for privacy with light, or laminated/MDF panel infill where full visual privacy is required, such as a store room or server cabin door.

In some cases yes, if the existing mullion spacing allows a standard door width. Where it doesn't, we usually recommend rebuilding the section of partition around the new door for a proper fit.
